A long while back (pre-covid), I promised some friends of mine that I would bring them to my family's hometown of Melaka. Well I've finally made good on that promise this labour day weekend. 

Coming to Melaka as a full grown adult with friends instead of family, I find that I enjoy it in a different way and feel more connected to my roots than ever. Might have to do with the fact that I'm not rushing from house to house in blazing heat for CNY as well.

Would highly recommend visiting Melaka for a short getaway with great food and good vibes.
